Personally I don't think Rock is dead, but a lot of people in the media do and it's not hard to see why: In a world where phony popstars have all their bad notes corrected with software programs like Auto Tune, in a world where getting caught lip synching just simply makes you more famous, and when fame is considered more important than talent......It becomes easy to see why so many in the media and music industry saying that Rock is dead.
So with all this in mind I wrote this song. Eulogy to Rock.
Of course, I don't believe Rock is dead. You prove that wrong everytime you purchase real music made by real people.
THE LAST ROCK’N’ROLL SONG
WAITING FOR THE NEEDLE TO DROP
YOU KNOW THAT IT'S THE LAST TIME
WAITING FOR THE RECORD TO STOP
AND YOU WON'T HAVE ANOTHER RHYME
YOU KNOW THE TUNE
YOU FEEL THE GROOVE
BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO DANCE
SEARCHING - FOR THE WORDS TO MAKE IT RIGHT
BUT SOME THINGS DON'T NEED TO BE SAID
HOPING LOVE WILL ALWAYS BE IN SIGHT
BUT A DIFFERENT WORLD LIES UP AHEAD
YOU KNOW THE TUNE
YOU FEEL THE GROOVE
BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO DANCE
YOU FEEL THE END
NO TEARS MY FRIEND
FOR THE LAST ROCK'N'ROLL SONG
LOOKING DOWN FROM THE LA HILLSIDE, THIS MUCH I KNOW MUST BE TRUE.
A MILLION STORIES PLAY OUT A MILLION GLORIES, BUT THE ONE I KNOW I LOVE IS YOU.
YOU FEEL THE END
NO TEARS MY FRIEND
FOR THE LAST ROCK'N'ROLL SONG
YOU FEEL THE END
NO TEARS MY FRIEND
FOR THE LAST ROCK'N'ROLL SONG
